How to work out procrastination?
It seems a lot of reasons,but most of psychologists think that procrastination is a way that people use to combat anxiety and anxiety mostly starts from a decision or a task on the whole.
Our own procrastination often comes from pressure guilty and the decrease of personal effectiveness——These feelings together often aggravate procrastination.
In general, a certain degree of procrastination belongs to the normal,but the delay for a long time may be a form of mental or physical disorder.
Joseph R Ferria, the psychologist of Depaul University, thinks that procrastination is a symptoms ,but it can’t be cured.
He thinks that the one who likes delaying can be called patients with chronic procrastination.
How to work out procrastination? We should do it depending on different situations.
1 pefectionism type of procrastionator: do things to be pefect, so don’t want to get started in a rush.
The way to the problem: allow for the possibility of being not perfect ,encourage yourself when getting a little progress. Realize that you can’t do things without mistakes, so don’t ask yourself to achieve perfection.
2 easy to be decadent : It’s to hard to finish the work and hope to do it in the next day. Tomorrow and tomorrow , gragging its feet.
The way to the problem: Divide the task into the easy bits and pieces, reduce the difficulty of the task; postpone the attitudes of giving up,and try your best to finish the task every day.
3 self-depreciation: can not finish your task in times, and your evalution is lower and lower. When finishing your task perfectly, you just think it is lucky.
The way to the problem:be convident of yourself, receive praise from others ; encourage yourself.
