Meaning of Misbehaviour
Meaning of Misbehaviour When is misbehaviour a health problem?
A child’s misbehaviour is a health problem if the problem:
• is present for a long time (more than six months);
• results in serious and repeated breaking of family or social rules, such as lying;
• is accompanied by serious aggression against others, such as hitting or abusing;
• is accompanied by potentially criminal acts, such as stealing;
• is accompanied by not attending school or poor school performance.
When a child’s bad behaviour is very serious, it is referred to as a conduct disorder.
